Pussycat Dolls Confirm Comeback as a Trio After Two Decades

After years of false starts, legal battles, and personal milestones, The Pussycat Dolls are officially back. Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, and Kimberly Wyatt have confirmed their reunion, unveiling a fresh new track titled Club Song and announcing the ambitious 53-date PCD Forever world tour.

The comeback marks a significant moment for the iconic pop group, arriving more than 20 years after they first burst onto the music scene and six years after a previous reunion attempt collapsed under the weight of the Covid-19 pandemic and an unresolved legal dispute.

A Reunion Two Decades in the Making

For Wyatt, stepping back into the spotlight alongside her bandmates feels nothing short of extraordinary. "It's an incredible thing to be able to do after 20 years," she told BBC News. Scherzinger echoed that sentiment, describing the moment as one of perfect alignment. "The timing of everything was just perfect," she said.

It was Scherzinger herself who first reached out to the other members about getting the group back together. Roberts recalled how quickly they found common ground. "We had some conversations, and we were just like, 'We're on the same page, we're excited about embracing where we're at now as women and celebrating that,'" she said. "I'm just really excited to get back on stage and swing these hips around in some latex, hun!"

Where Is the Rest of the Original Lineup?

The original Pussycat Dolls featured six members, but this reunion moves forward without Jessica Sutta, Carmit Bachar, and Melody Thornton. Wyatt addressed the reduced lineup with characteristic openness, noting that the group has always been defined by a fluid roster.

"The Pussycat Dolls have always been known for an ever-changing line-up," she explained. "It just so happens that right now we're in a space where we feel united and ready to push forward. This is the line-up for 2026 — but you never know with the Pussycat Dolls what might come next."

Scherzinger added that while other former members are simply in different places in their lives, the stars aligned for this particular trio. "People have different commitments and priorities, but this worked out for us," she said.

From Broadway Lights to Arena Stages

Scherzinger's return to the Dolls follows a critically acclaimed chapter in her career on the theatrical stage. She portrayed the iconic Norma Desmond in Jamie Lloyd's celebrated production of Sunset Boulevard, earning both an Olivier Award and a Tony Award for her commanding performance.

Having spent three years in intimate theatre settings, the pop powerhouse admits she's ready to embrace the scale and energy of arena touring once again. "As an artist, you can't be bound to one thing — you want to do it all," she reflected. "I did miss the girls. I'm very proud of our group, our legacy, our music. I just did the West End and Broadway, so now it's time for a world tour. Dolls unite!"

PCD Forever Tour: Dates, Venues, and What to Expect

The PCD Forever tour launches in North America before crossing the Atlantic for a European leg beginning in September. UK and Ireland fans will be treated to nine dedicated shows across major cities, including:

  • Birmingham
  • Nottingham
  • Leeds
  • Liverpool
  • Dublin
  • Glasgow
  • Newcastle
  • Manchester
  • London O2 Arena — October 13 (closing night)

The grand finale at London's legendary O2 Arena on 13 October is expected to be a high-energy celebration of the group's enduring legacy.

Legal Hurdles Finally Cleared

The road to this reunion wasn't without obstacles. A 2019 comeback was derailed first by the pandemic and then by a legal dispute between Scherzinger and PCD founder Robin Antin over creative control of the brand and profit-sharing arrangements. The two parties reached a confidential settlement late last year, finally clearing the way for the group to move forward.

New Music and Classic Albums Reissued

Alongside Club Song, fans have more to look forward to musically. Both of the group's studio albums — PCD (2005) and Doll Domination (2008) — will be reissued with previously unreleased bonus tracks, giving longtime fans a fresh reason to revisit the music that defined a generation.

As for a brand-new album, Scherzinger didn't rule it out but acknowledged how dramatically the music industry has shifted. "We spent so much time on these albums and would get four, five, six hits off one record," she noted. "Now it's a singles-driven world — you can record a song and put it out there."

The Legacy of the Pussycat Dolls

Founded in 1995 by Robin Antin as an all-female burlesque dance troupe in Los Angeles, The Pussycat Dolls evolved into one of the most commercially successful pop acts of the 2000s. With Scherzinger — a former Popstars contestant — fronting the group, they released a string of global hits including Don't Cha, Buttons, Stickwitu, Beep, When I Grow Up, and Jai Ho! before disbanding in 2010.

Throughout their run, the group stayed true to their burlesque roots, pairing chart-topping music with bold choreography and unapologetically fierce stage presence. Now, with two decades of perspective behind them, the trio is ready to remind the world exactly what made the Pussycat Dolls impossible to ignore.
