Organizers of the iconic Just For Laughs comedy festival officially confirmed on Wednesday that Jerry Seinfeld and Weird Al Yankovic will serve as headline acts for the 2026 edition of the Montreal-based event, scheduled for July.
Seinfeld Returns to the Stage Where It All Began
Jerry Seinfeld has a long and storied history with Just For Laughs, having first graced its stage back in 1989 — right as his now-legendary NBC sitcom was finding its footing. After making his directorial debut with the Netflix film Unfrosted, Seinfeld is heading back to Montreal to deliver a solo performance titled Jerry Seinfeld Live on July 23 at the prestigious Place des Arts concert hall.
Weird Al Brings His 'Bigger and Weirder Tour' to Montreal
Parody music icon Weird Al Yankovic, who made his JFL debut in 1990, will bring his Bigger and Weirder Tour to the outdoor Place des Festivals stage on July 25. In a treat for fans, the performance will be completely free to attend, making it one of the most accessible headline events in the festival's history.
Gala Hosts and Supporting Acts Announced
Just For Laughs also unveiled the first round of hosts for its twice-nightly gala showcases. The hosting lineup includes:
- Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias – the beloved YouTube comedy star
- Mike Birbiglia – known for his role in Trainwreck
- Atsuko Okatsuka – whose second stand-up special is available on Hulu and Disney+
- Gerry Dee – star of the hit series Animal Control
Expanded Stand-Up Lineup
The Montreal stand-up program will also feature a diverse roster of performers, including Nurse John, Jordan Jensen, Sibling Rivalry Live, David Nihill, Tracy and Martina Live!, Ron Funches, Zoltan Kaszas, Jacqueline Novak, Girls Gotta Eat, and Martin Amini.
Adding to the excitement, JFL has introduced a second live show — Smosh Reads Reddit Stories Live! hosted by Shayne Topp — alongside the return of fan-favorite club showcases such as The Nasty Show, The Culture Show, and Brit(ish).
