Ateez Confirmed as BST Hyde Park 2025 Headliners

South Korean K-pop sensation Ateez has officially been announced as one of the headline acts for this summer's BST Hyde Park festival in London. The eight-member group will take the stage on Sunday, 29 June, joining an already star-studded lineup that includes Pitbull, Lewis Capaldi, Maroon 5, and Garth Brooks.

A Historic Milestone for K-pop at Hyde Park

Ateez's addition to the lineup marks a significant moment for K-pop on the global festival stage. They will become the third K-pop act ever to headline BST Hyde Park, following in the footsteps of Blackpink, who performed in 2023, and Stray Kids, who topped the bill in 2024. Previous K-pop headliners have each drawn crowds of approximately 65,000 fans, many of whom travel internationally for the occasion.

Who Are Ateez?

Formed in 2018, Ateez is composed of eight members — Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho. Since their debut, the group has expanded far beyond the K-pop sphere, establishing a powerful presence in mainstream music globally.

The band commands millions of followers across social media platforms and has completed five world tours, performing across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Their track Ice On My Teeth is among the hits that have helped cement their international reputation.

Record-Breaking Achievements in the UK

Ateez has made remarkable inroads in the British music market. According to the Official Charts Company, they are the first K-pop group to achieve four consecutive top 10 albums in the UK charts — a record-breaking feat in the genre's history. They also hold the distinction of being the first K-pop act to place three top 10 albums in the UK in a single calendar year.

Adding to their growing list of accolades, Ateez claimed the K-pop Artist of the Year award at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards, outpacing high-profile competitors including BTS's Jimin, Blackpink's Lisa, Aespa, and Enhyphen.

Pitbull's World Record Attempt

One of the more unusual highlights of this year's festival will come courtesy of Pitbull on 10 July, when the rapper will attempt to set a world record for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps. The quirky tribute trend went viral during his sold-out tour last year, with thousands of fans showing up dressed in bald caps, sunglasses, and sharp suits in homage to the artist known as Mr. Worldwide. Pitbull has previously stated that seeing crowds dressed in his likeness makes him "very happy."

Tickets and Upcoming Announcements

General admission tickets to see Ateez at BST Hyde Park will go on sale on Friday, 29 May. Festival organisers have confirmed that additional artists are yet to be announced, suggesting the lineup will continue to grow in the weeks ahead.
